Brilliant Web Site on Rat Biology

.

This is a brilliant web site on one of the most interesting creatures in the Animal Kingdom. Check it out, you won't be disappointed! It answers such mind-numbing questions as: Why ARE rat testicles so large? Inquiring minds want to know!

For tips on working rats with terriers, see here. Sadly, it's hard to find a good ratting location these days, what with cleaner farms, large metal trash bins routinely collected, and proper (i.e. variated) use of poisons.

Next time you go to Philly, bring your dogs. After dark, the rats come out of the sewers on Chestnut Street at Drexel University and feed on the trash cans. Very big, very scary -- when I was at grad school there, we stayed on the other side of the street.

Back Bay in Boston is another prime ratting location! ;)
