Saw a herd of over 60 Elk yesterday evening. Four big bulls, with one old man trying to stay on top of 55 cows while pushing off the slightly lesser bulls, who sparred among themselves.
Elk antlers are a LOT of temporary bone growth in order to win reproductive rights.
One cow was double ear-tagged and radio collared. The US has the best wildlife managers in the world.
