Thankful for Ford and the UAW

OUR FORD EDGE SAVED OUR LIVES in the recent crash (one week ago yesterday), where we were T-boned by a big Dodge Ram that crossed four lanes of traffic to slam into us as we were going down the highway.

100 percent the Dodge Ram guys fault, but life goes on and a new vehicle was needed.

So… shopping.

Completed purchase yesterday of a 2020 Ford Hybrid AWD Escape.

Only 6,600 miles on it, one owner, and like new.

According to Cargurus.com we got her for $3,489 below market.

Not in love with the color, but wife’s car and her choice.

The car is still under Ford Warranty and is loaded with extras: leather seats, moon roof, Bang & Olufsen sound system, heated seats and heated steering wheel, power lift rear open, voice-activated touchscreen GPS navigation system, cruise control with lane centering, SiriusXM, 10 Speakers, wireless charging pad, rear parking camera, automatic headlights, turn signal mirrors, front and side airbags, and 40 miles per gallon.

We now have three Ford Hybrids. The new Escape (wife’s car) joins my old 2012 Hybrid Escape, and my 2013 Hybrid C-Max.  Never had a problem with my hybrids (knock on wood).

Ford Escapes are union made in Michigan, as are our other two Ford vehicles.
