Information on working terriers, dogs, natural history, hunting, and the environment, with occasional political commentary as I see fit. This web log is associated with the Terrierman.com web site.
My personal dog that I raised from 8 weeks until almost 14 years of age, not once defecated on the floor. Not once in her entire life. She was only ever an indoor dog. No dog door on the house required. She never urinated in the house, either. I also work full time outside the home. It's just not that hard to potty train a dog. Barring medical difficulties, of course. I've done so for more dogs than I can count; all different breeds, ages, working, sporting etc. Just make sure to let the dog out consistently. That right there is the issue. Consistently at the right time. I put it on command, too, works a treat for travelling and before vet visits.
