I got another 500 feet of wire in the ground today, working at about 120 feet an hour, which includes flagging, talking to a neighbor, and moving a few things around. It’s going to get cold tomorrow and perhaps snow, but it’s supposed to rise to 50 degrees on Sunday when I will finish it. In the interim, I strung out the last 500 feet of wire above ground and plugged in the system. Loop achieved!
I’ll put the garage wires in a short raceway tomorrow, but thrilled that it’s fired up fine on first plug-in.
For the record, pet containment systems are all using 50-year old tech, and the Radio Systems Corporation owns PetSafe brand containment systems, as well as Invisible Fence, SportDOG, and Innotek, which suggests a core competency in this general arena.
