I guess it makes sense to sell the bits of animal that people don't want to eat as dog treats. Dogs love organs and whatnot and there's less waste this way.
What doesn't make sense is the price I sometimes see for what's basically slaughterhouse waste. I know this stuff needs some processing before it's sold as dog treats, but where I live, things like pizzle sticks and lung are very expensive.
