New Bocce Ball courts in the big park downtown. Four courts and a stone building for equipment. The local Bocce Club raised $125,000 and went through the bureaucracy to see it built.
This is next to Carroll Creek, which is channelized downtown.
A complex set of hydraulics diverts extra flood water into several massive pipes underneath the hardscape you see here. This part of the creek never rises or falls, and brings waterlilies, lotuses, ducks, herons, and massive koi and bluegill through the center of town. It also brings food and craft festivals, restaurants, walkers, and bikers.
