Where IS That Owl Tree?

I was taking a fellow to this owl nest hole tree that I was scoping out just 4 days ago, but it was like the Twilight Zone. Where was the damn thing? Then I realized it was on the ground — felled by wet ground and rot that went straight through. A fallen owl cathedral. The nest hole was shattered, but apparently empty (and huge).
