I went looking for a specific eagle nest based on the online eagle nest map, but when I located it, it looked abandoned. The good news is that I found three others in a 5-mile stretch of water that appear to be occupied, even if the female is out of sight deep in the holdings.
Also seen this day: white tail deer, cormorants, wood ducks, red-shoulder hawk, blue herons, a very bold red fox, Canada geese, and turkey vultures.
