There are only five pieces to an Opinel knife -- my daily carry -- and they are not too hard to take apart.
Master carver Laurent Gerdil, in France, and several others around the world, have taken to replacing the wood handle with custom carvings.
I have an extra Opinel, but not much skill in the carving arena. That said, I would love a terrier head (or perhaps rear end). Maybe in the future.
