The Epic Adventures of Aleksander Doba
Aleksander Doba first tried kayaking at age 34, and his first solo paddle across the Atlantic was at age 65 from Senegal to Brazil in 2010 (5394 kilometers). In 2013, at age 67, he paddled from Lisbon (Portugal) to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In 2017, at age 71, Doba completed his third solo transatlantic kayak paddling from Le Conquet, France to Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. A parachutist, bicyclist, and glider enthusiast, Doba died while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on February 22, 2021. After reaching the top of the peak, he asked for a two-minute break before posing for a photo. He then sat down on a rock and "just fell asleep" and never woke up.

When Fighting Racism Was Prosecuted as Sedition
America is so racist that fighting racism is often seen as fighting America. A case in point: In 1954, Carl and Anne Braden purchased a home on behalf of a young black family in Louisville, Kentucky. That act touched off weeks of racial violence and led to Carl Braden being sentenced to 15 years in prison for sedition.
