The Potomac River is full of islands; most of those in my immediate area are open to hunting (duck and maybe a few deer).
The upper Potomac River is excellent small mouth bass, and the birds know it. I saw 15 Osprey, 12 Blue Herons, 22 Great White Egrets, 5 Merganser, 2 Cormorants, 2 Green Herons, and 4 Belted Kingfishers. I also saw 2 Kestrels, and lots of tree swallows on this paddle.
