Making Soil in Three Scenarios

This 100-day time lapse shows red wiggler worms reducing biomass to soil.

Each chamber was filled with a different type of bedding material: Chamber #1 had leaves, #2 had cardboard, and #3 had paper.

Periodic additions of water (as ice) and grit (pulverized eggshell) were added.   Additional bio mass materials were loaded in when the food levels dropped.
