Can You Hear Me Now?
Dogs don’t talk.
A simple observation, which should not be confused with the notion that they don’t TRY to communicate.
My late Huki, the Engish shepherd, would tease me by tipping out a book from the bottom shelf with his nose, putting his paw on it, and then giving me a very similar look, like "whatcha gonna do about this now?"
