I read this book many times when I was a child and wept every time. A couple of years ago we chanced upon Beautiful Joe Park in Meaford Ontario. Being a senior Crazy Dog Lady, it was great to realize that Joe's story influenced so many people and helped promote the anti-cruelty-to- animals movement.
