Shakespeare In the Tree

When waiting for wildlife to appear, you still see wildlife even if it’s only bugs and sparrows.

For example, there are a lot of massive flocks of Starlings this time of year. All of them are descendants of birds released in Central Park, New York City, by a group that wanted every bird named in Shakespeare’s sonnets to be found in that Park.

Starlings are named after the iridescent star patterns that speckle their mostly-black plumage. For a bit more info, see this post.
