I just planted 50 hosta slips into pots to grow out. We’ll see if they’re big enough to set out next year — there was pretty good root structure on all of them, received from Gilbert H. Wild at $1 a plant.
The day lilies I got from the same place seem to be taking hold with watering to help them through the shock of being cut, lifted, shook out, mailed, and transplanted. Gilbert Wild has been around for over 100 years, so fingers crossed!
