Spay Neuter Has Saved Scores of Millions of Lives

Seventy years ago, you got puppies at the pet shop. Guess how many dogs were killed at the pound back then, before the push for spay-neuter?

Answer: many, many millions per year. The graph, below, is just for California (about one tenth of the US population).
