An incredible amount of money and effort goes into the driven grouse shoots in Scotland. This video was produced for the Angus Glens Moorland Group, a collection of rural estates throughout Angus, Scotland.
The bottom line is that land that produces hunting income for grouse shoots in the U.K. requires the kind of habitat that is good for a lot of other species. Fox are the main threat to the economy of the shoots, and therefore a major threat to land protection.

The Scots outlawed mounted fox hunting which is a reasonable culling process taking the weak, old or diseased. Poison, trapping and shooting are indiscriminate.
