Real Hardware Stores
This is what we lose when Home Depot arrives. This hardware store is in Purcellville, Virginia.
We had a hardware store like this when I was growing up. You could get anything you needed there. Home Depot cam along, sales went down, someone bought them out, ditched all of the good stuff and turned it into a typical ace-type hardware store. So sad to see the old places go under due to strip malls and chain stores. I must be getting old...

And the owners/staff are available to assist, and often highly knowledgeable about their products.
