Off to Colorado this morning, so expect fewer posts over the next few days. Or maybe more, depending on what the phone camera sees, and what I decide to post. You never know with me. I'm edgey that way.
If you have advice on where to go, what to see, where to stay, or what to eat, put it in the comments? Our approximate route is shown, above.
Not all who wander are lost.
Looks like you'll be in the neighborhood of Orient Land Trust, which has some truly delightful natural hot springs:

Definitely worth the stop, and you can stay overnight as well.
well you may already have these on your list - but check out the garden of the gods while going through colorado springs.
ReplyDeleteand if you have time while in denver - I really like the little town of Morrison - it is on the way to REd Rocks - which you HAVE to see - and in Morrison there is a little coffee shop - some eateries and an old church that is great for photos. but go to red rocks for sure. Golden colorado is also a great place to visit - you can tour the Coors brewery and the Table Mountain Inn used to be our fav place to eat and lodge at - but not sure how they are with new owners.
have a a great trip. :)

Just about 11 miles east of Grand Junction, in the little town of Palisade, there is an excellent inn "Wine Country Inn". Great food and great location. If you get a chance, you should check out the Grand Mesa area, the largest flat topped mountain. It is beautiful.
