This is the very young me at a Christian camp near Kenitra, Morocco. This would have been around 1968 or so.
Kenitra was one of the places U.S forces landed in Africa during World War II, and it eventually became a U.S. Naval Air Station with, at one time, as many as 10,000 Americans in residence.
It was a glorious place as far as I was concerned, as they had a PX and you could buy comic books!
The U.S. Naval Air Station at Kenitra was closed in 1991, and turned over to the Moroccans.
