Big Timber: When The Nation Was Young
And one more that will become HUGE if you click on it. That's Michigan in 1890. The last picture is from Shorpy.
Wow, those felled redwoods are incredible, and it's sad to see them dead. That last photo, I don't believe for a moment those two horses could budge that load. They must be there for scale.
