Back from a few days down state.
I came across this cover in a used book store in Staunton, Virginia.
An amusing title, and maybe true, but as a general rule I am not one to encourage the use of dogs as a wrench to tighten just any loose nut.
That said, it's done all the time.
In fact, off-label self-medication with dog may be the most commonly abused drug in the nation.

I think, like any medication, a dog should be taken under supervision of a licensed professional, only in accordance with directions, and daily. I can hear the disclaimer now:
One should only take dog if they do not have a history of taking dog and then quitting - this medication cannot be discarded until its expiration date. Only take dog in accordance with its directions, which may include daily walks, grooming, training, crating and of course, dog should only be taken with food and water. Before taking any other dog, inform your licensed professional so that they may talk to you about possible interactions and side effects of taking two dogs at once. If you experience any side effects such as wanting to strangle a dog, soiled carpets, eaten socks, dug up garden, stolen food, resource hoarding and constant noise, call your licensed professional right away as these can be serious side effects if not dealt with immediately. Lowered blood pressure, love, cuddling on the couch, wearing of hair/fur, spending money on things it does not need and sleeping with something that snores, takes up most of the bed and/or has gas is to be expected. Talk to a licensed professional to see if dog is right for you.
Love it!
