Here at Terrierman we have a No Zombies policy (which also applies to time wasters, anonymous cowards, religious proselytizers, conceal-carry gun nuts, born-again vegans, pit bull fighters, food fadists, PeTA clones, and Ron Paul lunatics).
Now I am happy to report that there's a MOVIE about our policy.
The movie is called "Play Dead" and the strap line is "Every dog has its dead."
The plot synopsis is:
A zombie apocalypse unites a ragtag pack of dogs in the ruined streets of Miami. Immune to the epidemic, they must stick together to survive in the midst of ferocious undead and human survivors. Sit. Stay. Play dead...
These entrepreneurial young film makers, commissioned by the Borscht Film Festival, have made a trailer for their movies, and now they need only $3,000 to make it happen.
Go on and give $20. Become a patron of the arts and get cool stuff and perks in return.
Make someone else's dream come true despite the fact that your own ambitions of making it big in Hollywood have been crushed by time, poverty, age and an indifferent and unkind world. Light a match instead of cursing the dark!
And for those of you who think this scenario is entirely fiction (OK, it really is), be advised that the bones of this movie (sorry) are not too dissimilar to what happened in the Western United States 180 years ago after smallpox and other diseases wiped out entire Indian villages leaving the dogs (the largest pack animal in North America prior to the horse) to run hungry and feral. All of those "plains wolves" that settlers reported out west were not coyotes or even real wolves. Many were Indian dogs and their descendents.
