A Terrier Search Dog, London, May of 1941.

Beauty, a terrier working for the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals PDSA, searches through the rubble of a bomb-damaged building for signs of animal life in May of 1941.

Beauty was credited, along with PDSA Superintendent Bill Barnett (pictured at right), with helping dig 63 pets out of rubble during the London Blitz.

Beauty is buried in the Ilford Pet Cemetery outside of London, the final resting place of 3,000 pets.
