Found Bird Skull -- Guess the Bird

This skull was found half-buried in a dune next to the beach in North Carolina. The rest of the bird was fully in the sand, and I left it there, but the skull was more-or-less picked clean by crabs and weather, and so it was added to the collection. I think it's a cattle egret skull, but alternative suggestions are welcome.
