Puck the Patterdale Needs a Home!

Puck is a an approximately 2-years old Patterdale Terrier in Chesapeake, Virginia.  He is about 2 years old, approx. 12-15 lbs, recently neutered, and up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.   Apparently his original owner was an idiot, as the dog was left in the yard to escape several times, ending up at animal control in Chesapeake 3 times before finally turning up at rescue.   All this dog needs is a forever owner with a small slice of brains and a decent fence!

Puck is very good with older kids (see picture).  As with all terriers, this dog will thrive with  an active owner.  He can be adopted out of the area, but if he stays in the area, the new owner can always take him hunting with me and my dogs whenever he or she wants.  Yes, this dog comes with a lifetime hunting invite!

To contact the Chespeake shelter about Puck, click here or see Petfinder, a service which is 15-years old today.

A lifetime hunting invite? That alone should get a few responses! Too bad I'm in Texas with 9 other rescue dogs, I'd snap that little boogerhead up in a minute! Hang in there, Puck, your peeps are out there, just around the corner!

Speaking of your hunting. Hubby wanted me to ask how often you actually have to dig your dogs out? One out of three times? one out of five? He's interested as he used to hunt his Miniature Dachund and only had to do it a few times.

Debi and the TX JRTs

No, not with my spoiled dogs and no deben collars.

Almost never with fox, which bolt pretty easy. Almost always with groundhogs which tend to bunker in stop ends. Raccoons have to be dug most of the time, but I often let them bolt at the end. Possums always get dug to -- not always alive when I get there.
