There were some old standbys like lions and peacocks, all in pretty crappy conditions.<br /><br />The park was pretty memorable, partly because it was a ghost town, but what I remember most is that there was one sad row of five purebred dogs in gradually gradated size: a Chihuahua, a Cocker Spaniel, a small Golden Retriever, a large black Labrador, and an Irish Wolfhound. They were in pens that were about 4x7, with a fake white picket fence along the viewing side, and weird cartoony dog houses for shelter. I am sure they had no regular human contact besides feeding times, and it's likely the pens were cleaned using only a hose. They basically just barked and paced and were neurotic messes.<br /><br />I have always thought that if that was standard Korean exposure to "pet" dogs, then they must think pet owners absolutely insane.Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02633249028174585430noreply@blogger.com
