Great Field Sport Books a Click Away

Coch-y-Bonddu books in Machynlleth, Wales is a great bookstore with a lot of field sport books of all types.

Great service, good people, and they will ship. See >> https://www.anglebooks.com

For the record, the Coch-y-Bonddu is a Garden Chafer Beetle (Phyllopertha horticola), as well as a very old Welsh wet-fly pattern that is supposed to imitate the aforementioned chafer beetle. The common American equivalent is a Brown Hackle, which imitates a Pine Beetle or some other terrestrial or aquatic bug.

The Welsh phrase “coch y bonddu” translates to "red with black stem or trunk". Dry fly and foam versions are also made now.
