A Hunter’s Super Moon

I took this photo in my backyard last night. It’s a hand-held shot taken with a Nikon P-90, which has a special “moon” pre-set.

This Super Hunter Moon is the closest and brightest moon for 2025.

The Hunter’s Full Moon is the full moon that occurs after the full Harvest Moon which happened last month.

Hunters Moon are so-called because hunters used the light of the full moon to hunt their fallow fields following the harvest.

“Supermoon” is not an astronomical term, but is used to denote when the moon passes a point where it is closest to our planet.

There were clouds coming in and out last night.  Some strange pictures resulted.
