A “Doxim” is a very rare cross between a Pampas Fox, and a domestic dog.
The Pampas Fox is not a true fox (Vulpes), but a Lycalopex or “false fox” or zorro more closely related to wolves and jackals.
Only one “Doxim” has ever been found — an animal hit by a car in 2021 and then nursed back to health and genetically tested. It died of unknown causes in 2023.
