Water Flow Low

Leaves on water weeds, shot through water. The upper Monocacy is *very* low after a month and a half of no rain.  It’s never deep, but the kayaks will float over 6” of water.  Today, there were a dozen places where we didn’t even have that much water.

Water flow on the Monocacy is very seasonal, however.  We started at Devilbiss Bridge, where kayaker, Sean Chilson drowned in the May 2025 high water, when the river was 13 feet higher than it is now.
