While I was in California, I happened to see a post from Moxie’s breeder, Sue W., who was selling off some old Mark I Deben locator boxes and collars. I jumped right on that, a very good deal was made, and now I have working boxes and locator collars to probably last my life.
All of this to say that I have decided to go through all my old kit and sort things out — testing everything, and removing batteries from equipment to store as backup for equipment kept in use.
Job One was taking apart my old pack and hosing it off, inside and out — the first cursory cleaning it’s gotten in 18 years of use.
