One of Six Million




The top picture is one of the 6,000,000 original rivets that went into San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

The second photo is of the Golden Gate Bridge under construction, in 1934. The steel came from Baltimore, already primed this orange color. The people of San Francisco decided they liked the color, and kept it.
