Fawn on the Lawn
DEER CAN DISAPPEAR LIKE GHOSTS. One trick is simply to lie down in a little swale or depression. I have seen them lie as flat as a trashcan lid, and if there’s any green at all, the deer will simply disappear.
Here we see a fawn on a low-trimmed lawn. The first two pictures, taken from the driveway, show how inconspicuous the fawn is. Zooming in, you see ears, a small patch of brown, and the dappled camouflage of spots.
