Peregrine Love Is In the Air

Peregrine Falcons this morning near Point of Rocks, both male and female. They are paired and mating. but not yet broody or spending time at the nest.  I figure that’s two weeks away or so.  

They have set up in an old Raven nest. One-hundred car trains pass just below their cliff nest, but they seem to have assimilated that commotion.  

Last picture is of the female plucking a small bird I saw her catch on the mid-river island forest where I spotted them calling to each other.  These pictures were shot from some distance with a P90 Nikon point and shoot (hand-held).
