Threats to our democracy are horrible and depressing. But something about banning books and keeping young children from learning about history ON PURPOSE to keep them in the dark about things like the Tulsa race massacre, or any African American or Indigenous people's history...THAT is so much sadder to me, because it does so much more long term damage.
