This Land Was Made For You and Me

“When the sun come shining,
then I was strollingAnd the wheat fields waving
and the dust clouds rollingThe voice was chanting
as the fog was liftingThis land was made
for you and me.”
Woody Guthrie

It was overcast and felt stormy this morning. The wheat has been ready to come off for at least a week, but rain has intervened. Corn is always thirsty, however, and some fields have shot up a foot in a week.
