Still Life In the Grass

This Cottontail Rabbit was frozen on the grass, hoping I could not see him unless he moved. A lot of animals freeze when they see danger -- a very effective strategy to avoid predators that tend to focus on movement rather the fuzzy chaos of muted colors they can see in the distance.
