NanoTag Bird Trackers Have Arrived



The electronics and power systems for wildlife tracking has been shrinking for years, and now they can fit on birds that weigh just three pennies (Audubon). 

The smallest tags weigh just a quarter of a gram -- about one fourth the weight of a regular paperclip, or about one fourth the weight of a dollar bill.
