At top is a tool I’d never seen before, supposedly for cutting bales in half, I suppose from the era before nice machine-made flakes. Keen Kutter also made pocket knives, cleavers, axes, and hatchets.
Check out the hatchet ad, below, where the company is — terrifyingly — promoting it as a tool for children to use when tail-docking puppies.
