I spied this small cave entrance while kayaking below Dam 4 on the Potomac, and remembered to look for it on the bicycle ride back.
It's only deep enough for a single person to lie down, but I have been wet and cold in the woods when that would have looked like heaven to me. This is only about 150 feet off the canal towpath, so it's visited often enough to leave a path.
