While gathering a mass of old black plastic flower pots for recycling, I came across this large moth pupa.
Hard to know for sure, but I suspect it’s an Imperial Moth in the making.
I put it back in a pot in the corner of the yard where I found it, with a bit of old dead fern ball to keep it company.
