My $204 Million Cell Phone


The ad is from 1976, and the price for 10 megabytes is equivalent to $16,000 in today's inflation-adjusted dollars. My cell phone has 128 gigabytes of storage in it — 128,000 megabytes. To put it another way, at these prices my cell phone has $204 MILLION worth of storage inside.
