Feeding the Monocacy

Scouting local places to drop a kayak later this week.

This is about a mile from the house, and as I waded into the water to scout a small island, an adult Bald Eagle lifted off and flew upstream.

This is a side creek into the Monocacy River, and while the water was warm, I was surprised to find a small patch of quite cold water just below the tree roots at left, an unseen spring coming up from deep below ground, no doubt.
