Might those be combination prints (using two negatives to create the positive)?
ReplyDeleteJust looks like folks from the early days of photography who wanted a cabinet card (daguerreotype?) documenting their dogs’ hunting prowess. Early brag item. What am I missing?
ReplyDeleteNot unusual...rarely were portraits done outside only group gatherings. The Borders look retouched probably because they moved during the exposure. Love that they thought enough of their dog/s prowess to have a costly photo taken.
