I’m still amazed I can get two dogs and myself on a folding bike. The bike store is a little amazed too! This is one of our regular runs down the C&O canal.
We had a big Barred Owl swoop down the canal and land in a snag in full daylight. I stopped the bike, fumbled with my camera, and as I aimed my lens, the owl busted off in flight, and a red-tail hawk that I had missed entirely, and which was just a few feet away, flew across the canal into the woods. Amazing! I missed the whole thing on camera, but it was a good thing to see in person.
