Amazon Dog Food?

Amazon is in the money business and they have figured out that there is a LOT of money to be made in the "premium" dog food world that is now filled by companies producing nonsense products.

Amazon wants in.

Their first move has been to produce "Wag," a line of kibble available "exclusively to Amazon Prime members" and which will sell for $44.99 for 30 pounds.

"Flavors" include turkey and lentil, beef and lentil, salmon and lentil, lamb and lentil, and chicken and lentil.  Lots of lentils!

How big an impact will Amazon have in the pet food market?

We'll see.

I, for one, am sticking to Purina Dog Chow at less than half the price when ordered off Amazon

Purina, water, and exercise have been making excellent working dogs for more than 100 years.

  1. Yes, lots of lentils which are cheap filler, and the manufacturer can still claim "grain free!"
