Charles Darwin on the Christmas Tree

My huge Charles Darwin Christmas ornaments arrived. Amazon makes it easy. I ordered two and they are as big as an Iowa potato!

Charles Darwin, of course, owes a great credit to his Jack Russell Terrier, Polly, who did a great deal of the important work that sparked his treatise on earth worms, while his other dogs were instrumental in shaping both Darwin's understanding of selection, recessive genes, and the dangers of inbreeding.

And what does Darwin share with Abraham Lincoln?  Why a birthday, an affinity for terriers, great beards, and a historical weight such that they both appear right on the money.
